Elise Stubbe

Elise is proud to bring to Melancon Legal over two decades of sophisticated legal experience to serve our clients’ needs. Having practiced in and been licensed in both Texas and Louisiana, She has developed particular expertise in complex legal research, persuasive writing, and intellectual property matters. Her approach combines meticulous attention to detail with a passion for clear, effective communication.

Throughout her career, she has handled a wide range of matters including copyright registration and infringement, constitutional issues, defamation claims, drafting and negotiating contracts, and trademark clearance, prosecution and defense. Her experience includes drafting successful briefs before various district and appellate courts as well as an amicus curiae brief before the U.S. Supreme Court, managing international intellectual property portfolios, and handling complex civil litigation matters. This broad background allows her to approach each client’s needs with a comprehensive understanding of both practical and legal considerations.

Prior to joining Melancon Legal, she served as counsel to numerous intellectual property clients including a major restaurant chain, several broadcasters, and numerous small businesses. For five years she also served as an Attorney Advisor for the Social Security Administration working with numerous Administrative Law Judges and other stakeholders. These experiences have added depth to her understanding of client service, working with a variety of parties, and practice management.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, international travel, learning how to play the piano, and visiting her favorite spots in San Antonio including the River Walk and the Botanical Gardens
